Description

This case was designed by Mike Douglas and used for his Altair Clone (altairclone.com) and the Altair 8800c. The Altair Clone has been discontinued as a product and Mike has stopped producing this case. Knowing how important this case is to the hobby Mike and I have decided that I will continue production using his original designs.

It is designed to use the front panel board set that Mike still sells on his site.

I have received the first sample cases from the manufacturer and they look great! They are currently working on the first run of 100 cases and expect them to be finished and delivered in November.

If you would like one of these first 100 cases, you can make a firm commitment with a deposit of $150. The final price will be $310 (plus shipping) which will include the full case and Altair 8800 face plate. Of course the $150 deposit will apply to your final total.

Shipping costs will be added to your initial deposit. Before final payment is due I will verify the shipping amount and if actual shipping is less, it will be subtracted from the amount owed.

If you would prefer not to make a deposit, there may be cases left from my initial order of 100 and those will be available to order on this site. I also expect to order a second run of 100 cases in January.

The Altair-Dunio Pro kit has been redesigned to fit this case. Those kits should be available at the same time the cases arrive.

NOTE: This case will not fit the existing version 2.0 Altair-Duino Pro or Experimenter kits.
