This is my slightly modified version of David Hansel’s Serial Port expansion board for the 26-pin bus. You can read more about this board at David’s Github.

I modified this board to allow the use of an ESP-01s for serial over telnet. This functionality is largely untested, so I would ignore it.

I was able to find enough components in my shop to include all parts needed for this kit, including a MAX3232 serial port module. NOTE: this kit is missing the 74LS02 logic gate. I did not have one of those, you will have to source one on your own.

Notice these boards were made before the addition of a resistor between pins 4 and 5 of the 74HC14, so you will need to place it on the back of the board (see photo for placement).
